Melissa joined us after a long stint as an academic. She has brought over to private practice all her legal knowledge, ability to translate legal jargon and some pretty amazing property and commercial skills.
The perfectionist in her is equally excited and annoyed by complex transactions. Mel always digs deep when it comes to complex consumer and commercial matters, producing thoroughly formed answers that only a normal person could whip up after a few drinks.
While Mel’s nerdish passion for the law is immediately obvious as is her obsession for all things colour coded, checklists and tables, lesser is her competitive painting talent which we recently witnessed.
Mel loves designing intricate wedding cakes and exploring hiking trails but will make sure that this is only made known when you ask her to review our website write up about her.
We would say that Mel is the best thing to come out of the mountains but a) she hasn’t left the mountains, and b) was born and raised in South Africa. She has proven that it’s possible to juggle the law, mum life and lecturing all whilst running an Airbnb gig. We aren’t sure if she actually ever sleeps.
Mel is a total crack up and even more so after a glass of Prosecco.
So, if you’re ever in need of property or commercial advice (or just a good laugh), Mel is your go to. But you’ll need to line up after the Lawgix crew because she’s all ours. One last thing, don’t ask Mel for directions.
